Fundamentals in Site Characterization – Topic 3: Groundwater Characterization – April 25 & 27
April 25, 2017 @ 9:00 AM - April 27, 2017 @ 9:00 AM UTC-8
Investigating contaminated sites is our bread and butter. We know how to do this – no problem – except when things are not quite what we expect….
Fundamentals in Site Characterization brings you and your team onto the same page for planning and implementing effective site characterization strategies. We cover both the classic methods and innovative approaches to characterize soil, groundwater and soil vapour quality. Learn how to demonstrate delineation using all data that is supported by your conceptual site model – and then go on to plan effective remediation strategies.
Topic 3: Groundwater Characterization (Apr 25 & 27,9-10 am PST) covers:
- Hydrogeology fundamentals
- Groundwater sampling
- Data reduction and interpretation
- Chemical fate and transport processes – Organics; Inorganics
Organized around 2 one-hour session.
Guy Patrick, contaminant hydrogeologist, environmental engineer and lecturer; consulting and writing technical reports since 1981.
