This presentation looks at how biogas is made at landfills, captured, and upgraded to Renewable Natural Gas. It will look at the main technologies and processes used to do this, the considerations between landfills and how changes in organic waste management will affect RNG at landfills.
Joey has been with FortisBC for five years working on renewable gas as a chemical engineer. His work involves acting as operational support for FortisBC’s existing landfill gas upgraders at Kelowna and Salmon Arm as well as in developing new landfill gas projects across the province. Joey also works on various innovation initiatives including carbon capture, hydrogen distribution, and reconfiguring the gas grid to deliver renewable energy.
