As in-situ remediation strategies continue to evolve, practitioners increasingly rely on advanced technologies to improve project design, execution, and long-term monitoring. Environmental Site ModelĀ® (ESM) represents a significant advancement in remediation planning and implementation, providing a platform for integrating high-resolution site characterization, real-time remedial tracking, and data-driven decision-making. This presentation will introduce the capabilities of this technology and demonstrate how its use in remediation projects enhances efficiency, accuracy, and overall project outcomes.
Daniel Brenner, B.Eng., P.Eng. a Senior Project Manager at VEI Contracting Inc., is an Environmental Engineer specializing in in-situ remediation. Mr. Brenner has been involved in the design and implementation of remediation programs across Canada involving permeable reactive barriers, adsorptive technologies, chemical oxidation/reduction, and biodegradation, in soil, groundwater, and bedrock for a variety of contaminants, including petroleum hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, and heavy metals.
