This interesting talk by Peter Reid. Peter is the CEO of GRT, a BC-based waste-to-resource company that produces clean, regenerated aggregates from excess soils. Before GRT, Peter was the VP, Site Assessment and Remediation at Hemmera. Peter is a past President of CSAP and has won several awards over his career for contributions to the field of Contaminated Sites Remediation and Redevelopment. 

Peter will talk about the current excess soil challenge and a shift from a linear use and dispose approach we have taken with soils to a circular approach to the problem.  Considering Excess Soils as a resource opens up a series of new uses for excess soils.  Peter’s roots are in the consulting industry, but recently embraced making our overall approach more sustainable by leading a BC-based waste-to-resource company that produces clean, regenerated aggregates from excess soils.
