This year has seen significant changes to the regulations around the movement of uncontaminated soil in BC. We will review the main points of the regulation, including the triggers, investigation and documentation requirements, as well as some lessons learned from Thurber’s experience to date.
Travis Deeter has been involved in the contaminated sites world for over 20 years and is a Professional Agrologist and a numerical standards Contaminated Sites Approved Professional. His work has included a wide variety of projects across BC, Alberta, the Yukon and Northwest Territories including desktop studies, site investigations, financial liability assessments, physical and chemical remediation programs, risk assessments and applications to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Strategy for certification documents.
